How the test works
Computer-based test with SIX sections, each on its own countdown timer - you cannot go back to a section once its timer ends or you submit it. Typical flow: aptitude block (Quant -> Logical -> Verbal) -> Technical MCQs -> Psychometric -> a separate 60-minute Coding block (some cycles reorder or put coding first). Five sections are scored (~107 MCQs total across them) plus 2 coding problems; the psychometric section is personality-fit only (not right/wrong, not decisive). BIGGEST RECENT CHANGE (2025-26): AI-assisted coding evaluation was added inside the online test - it scores code STRUCTURE alongside test-case pass rate, so a clean, well-structured partial solution can earn partial credit. This sits within LTIMindtree's renewed fresher push (campus hiring resumed in 2025; ~5,000 freshers targeted). IMPORTANT - counts vary: the section LINEUP is stable and well-corroborated, but exact per-section question counts and durations DIFFER by cycle, batch, and role track. Sources disagree (Quant 10Q/10min vs 10Q/20min vs 15Q/25min; Technical MCQ 10 vs ~20; an alternate 'revised' format cited as ~111-112 questions in ~130 min vs ~160 min in the six-section table). Treat numbers as approximate. TWO TRACKS: graduate (~Rs 4.0-5.5 LPA) and premium/AI (up to ~Rs 9.0 LPA, harder). Full process: OA -> Technical Interview -> HR Interview. No negative marking confirmed - attempt everything.
What to prep
- Quantitative aptitude core: time & work, profit & loss, SI/CI, speed-distance-time, pipes & cisterns, P&C, probability
- Logical reasoning: seating arrangement, blood relations, syllogisms, coding-decoding, direction sense, data sufficiency
- Coding: solve 2 full problems in 60 min on arrays, strings, linked lists, DP - write CLEAN, well-structured code (the AI evaluator rewards structure + partial test cases, not just a brute-force pass)
- CS fundamentals for Technical MCQs and the interview: OOPS, DSA, DBMS/SQL, Operating Systems, C/C++
- Verbal: grammar (error spotting, sentence correction, tenses) + reading comprehension
- Timed mock tests to build per-section speed (each section is separately timed with no back-navigation) - practice on PrepInsta, GeeksforGeeks, and faceprep
Cut-offs & eligibility (indicative)
Official pass marks and sectional cutoffs are NOT published by LTIMindtree - treat any specific number seen online as unofficial. The documented HARD FILTER is eligibility, not an in-test cutoff: typically 60% throughout academics (10th, 12th, and graduation) with no active backlogs; eligible degrees B.E./B.Tech in CSE/IT/ECE/EEE and related streams, plus MCA from recognised universities. No negative marking confirmed, so attempt all questions.
