How the test works
Deloitte's India fresher/campus hiring runs through the National Level Assessment (NLA), used for both on-campus and off-campus 2026-batch hiring (typical roles: Analyst Trainee / Associate Analyst). The OA is a single ~90-minute, fully online, video/audio-proctored test of roughly 67 questions: ~65 MCQs split across English (13), General Aptitude/Reasoning+Quant (22), and Computer Fundamentals/Technical (~30), PLUS 2 live coding problems. NO negative marking. Reported as a single 90-min timer with NO per-section timing - you manage your own time across sections and can navigate back within the test. Typical funnel: online registration -> academic/profile screening (commonly 60%+ or 6.0 CGPA throughout 10th/12th/grad, no active backlogs) -> NLA online assessment -> technical + HR interview (often combined) -> offer. RECENT CHANGES: the older GD / JAM (Just-A-Minute) round has been dropped from the current process, and coding is now embedded directly inside the OA rather than a separate later round. CAVEATS ON PRECISION: exact per-section counts (especially the ~30 technical MCQs) differ slightly between sources and by hiring cycle/role, and non-technical/commerce tracks weight business-analytical and communication skills more than coding. Also note this India campus NLA format is DIFFERENT from Deloitte's global (US/UK/experienced) gamified 'Immersive Online Assessment' and job-simulation/situational-judgement tests - do not conflate the two.
What to prep
- English/Verbal: grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, fill-in-the-blanks, reading comprehension - do NOT neglect it; it is the most heavily weighted section
- Quantitative aptitude: percentages, ratio & proportion, time-speed-distance, time & work, P&C, probability, number system
- Logical reasoning: puzzles, seating arrangement, series, syllogisms, blood relations, directions, data sufficiency
- Computer fundamentals: DS & algorithms, DBMS/SQL, OS, computer networks, OOP concepts, plus conceptual cloud & cybersecurity
- Coding: arrays, strings, recursion and basic algorithms - fully solve the easier problem first; practice on PrepInsta / GeeksforGeeks; use a fast-to-write language (Python/Java)
- Speed & accuracy under a single shared 90-min timer with no sectional limits - budget your own time and, since there's no negative marking, attempt everything
- Communication/HR readiness for the combined technical + HR interview that follows the OA
Cut-offs & eligibility (indicative)
Sectional cutoffs are NOT officially published by Deloitte and vary by drive/college. The English/Verbal section is very widely reported to carry the most weight / highest sectional bar (one aggregator cites a verbal cutoff around 8 correct); the overall qualifying score is an unofficial estimate in the ~70-80% range. Treat every cutoff figure as indicative, not guaranteed. Because there is NO negative marking, attempt every question regardless of cutoff rumors.
