How the test works
Accenture's fresher/campus OA (branded simply the "Accenture Assessment", delivered on its online proctored platform) runs as three modules plus interviews. (1) Combined Cognitive + Technical Assessment: most recent 2025-26 campus drives run it as ONE ~90-minute window of ~90 MCQs across 6 sections (English/Verbal, Critical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Pseudo-Code, MS Office & Common Applications, Networking/Security/Cloud). Some older or off-campus sources still describe Cognitive (~50 Q, 35-45 min) and Technical (~40 Q, ~40 min) as two separately-timed sub-tests - hence the timing variance. (2) Same-day Coding round: the strongest and most recent sources (faceprep, GeeksforGeeks 2025 batch, LeetCode experiences) report 2 questions in 45 minutes (C/C++/Java/Python/.NET); a minority of prep pages cite up to 3 questions in 60 minutes, so confirm on your invite. You must fully solve at least one to clear. (3) AI-graded Communication Assessment (SVAR-style spoken English) scored on Sentence Mastery, Vocabulary, Fluency, Pronunciation - usually a separate 2-3 day window, mandatory, and in recent campus flows non-eliminatory but still required to progress. Ordering varies: some drives place Communication first (faceprep), the 2025 on-campus flow placed it after coding. Two roles are decided in the same sitting - ASE (~Rs 4.5-6.5 LPA) and Advanced/Associate ASE (~Rs 6.5-9 LPA) - with coding/overall score determining the track. No negative marking; all MCQ except the coding and spoken sections. Recent notes: heavy weight on pseudo-code and situation-based networking/cloud questions; abstract reasoning is purely visual-pattern. Exact question counts, per-section timings, and cutoffs shift each cycle and by drive.
What to prep
- Pseudo-code / output-prediction: loops, operators, recursion, arrays, pointers, OOPs basics in C/C++/Java - the single biggest technical bucket
- Quantitative aptitude + logical/critical reasoning: puzzles, seating/data arrangement, syllogisms, number series, time-speed-work
- Abstract (non-verbal) reasoning: visual pattern and figure-series practice
- Verbal English: grammar, error spotting, sentence correction, reading comprehension
- Coding practice: arrays, strings, and math/number-logic problems in one comfortable language - solve one easy problem fully and fast, then attempt the medium
- CS fundamentals: MS Office / common applications, and basic networking, security & cloud concepts (situation-based)
- Spoken English fluency and clear pronunciation for the SVAR communication test - practise reading aloud, repeating and retelling
Cut-offs & eligibility (indicative)
No officially published cutoff - Accenture does not disclose it and it varies by drive, batch size, and paper difficulty. Community/prep-portal estimates only: sectional cutoffs apply on the cognitive/technical sections; overall pass mark is commonly reported around 65-75% (one 2025 on-campus GeeksforGeeks experience cited ~75% for Round 1). Coding: solve at least 1 of the 2 problems to clear; solving both / the harder one pushes you toward the Advanced ASE track. No negative marking anywhere. Treat all percentages as estimates, not official.
